W3C CODE IS A STANDARD
THAT CAN HELP YOUR WEBSITE
There is an organization for the intentional standards for the World Wide Web (W3) known as the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). W3C is a society in which the member organizations support a faculty for W3 standards progression.
There are currently 476 members, and other things W3C engages in are software, outreach, and education programs, and they serve as an assembly for issues regarding the web.
A “Recommendation” must progress through 5 critical levels to be in correspondence with the W3C Process Document:
First: Working Draft (WD)
Second: Last Call Working Draft
Third: Candidate Recommendation (CR)
Fourth: Proposed Recommendation (PR)
Fifth: W3C Recommendation (REC)
If a manufacturer wants to label themselves as W3C-compliant, there are a number of specifications that characterize levels of submission.
Access is given to all since the Recommendations are backed by a non-royalty patented license. W3C compliant recommendations are similar to the standards of many other organizations, which are also partly implemented on occasions.
Massachusetts Institute of Technology Computer Science and Artificial Intelligent Laboratory (CSAIL in the US), the European Consortium for Informatics and Mathematics (ERICM in Sophia Antipolis France), and The Keio University (in Japan) all administratively manage the Consortium. The W3C has World Offices in sixteen regions spread throughout the world. Part of W3C activities are working with local Web affiliated communities to help promote W3C technologies in their local languages. They also work to further encourage participation on an international level in the W3C’s activities and strengthen W3C’s demographic/geographic base.
UNFORTUNATELY, THE W3C HAS BEEN CRITICIZED AND ACCUSED OF BEING CONTROLLED BY LARGER INTERNATIONAL GROUPS WHO WRITE STANDARDS TO BEST FIT THEIR OWN INTERESTS.
We always recommend having a W3C compliant website to all our clients as it has many benefits such as:
Professional Looking Site
Multi-platform compatibility
Quick updating to save you Maintenance Costs
Search Engine Ranking improves
Quicker and More Optimal Website loading
Increased Traffic Influx
Elimination of Invalid codes that may not be supported by future browsers
Websites can be viewed well on all browsers and platforms like PDAs, Mobiles, screen readers etc
There is an absence of systematized protocol, which is another issue linked to W3C compliant website standards. The recommendations do contain elaborate syntax for their specified languages, but they lack the proper analysis of syntactic compounds, which is only provided in English. Therefore, the vagueness makes for the explanations to be hard to comprehend.
A solution to these issues could be if the W3C would develop semantics. Improvements in this area would allow for a profound context of a language that allows people to prove properties and aide in the development of forthcoming versions of the language. The W3C operating group insists in sustaining the English language style and did not adopt the improvement proposals.
